In a bid to enhance research methodologies and promote evidence-based healthcare practices, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is set to host an extensive workshop titled "Introduction to Systematic Reviews of Diagnostic Test Accuracy (DTA)." Scheduled for February 27, 2024, the workshop aims to delve deep into the intricacies of conducting systematic reviews in the field of diagnostic test accuracy.
The workshop, organized by the Cochrane Affiliate Centre at ICMR, New Delhi, is poised to gather healthcare professionals, researchers, and academicians eager to augment their understanding of diagnostic test accuracy reviews. With an emphasis on methodological rigor and evidence synthesis, the event promises to be a pivotal platform for advancing knowledge and skills in this specialized domain.

Dr. Bharati Kulkarni, head of Reproductive and Child Health and Nutrition (RCHN) at ICMR-Headquarters will kick off the proceedings with a welcoming address, setting the tone for an engaging and insightful day ahead. Subsequently, Dr. Anju Sinha from ICMR-Hqrs will introduce DTA reviews, laying the foundation for the discussions to follow.
Throughout the day-long workshop, esteemed speakers including Dr. Leeberk Raja, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Vignes Anand, Dr. Meenu Singh, and Dr. Prateek Panda will lead sessions covering various aspects of systematic reviews in diagnostic test accuracy. Topics such as study designs, defining review questions, data extraction, risk of bias assessment, quality assurance, meta-analysis principles, and certainty of evidence assessment will be thoroughly explored.
