Pharmac South 2025, the 10th edition of South India's high-powered pharmaceutical trade fair, kicked off today at 10 am at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam. The expo will continue until 5 pm tomorrow. Dr K M Srinivasan, deputy director of the CDSCO, inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon. The exhibition hall's sprawling area now hosts over 175 stalls, featuring exhibitors from nearly all states across North and South India. These displays include the latest technologies and products in the pharma and allied sectors. The organizers anticipate this expo will attract customers and visitors from all over South India. Apart from the CDSCO, DDC, Dr. George Pattani, senior vice-president of the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association, Dr. Dara Patel, secretary general of the IDMA, and T Revichandran, south regional vice-president spoke at the inaugural function. Dr T Satheesh, vice-president of the TN IDMA, delivered the welcome address, and S. Sivanandan, secretary, gave the vote of thanks. Pharmabiz has opened its stall at the IDMA's office space on the eastern side of the exhibition hall. KPMA president N Purushothaman officially commenced the magazine's distribution by handing a copy to D Jayachandran, TN IDMA official.
