NAB-CCM conducts webinar on “Tariffs vs. Temperature: Economic Policies Challenging the Cold Chain Industry”

The National Accreditation Body for Cold Chain Management (NAB-CCM) successfully conducted a high-impact webinar Tariffs vs. Temperature: Economic Policies Challenging the Cold Chain Industry” on May 7, 2025, bringing together industry leaders and experts to deliberate on the evolving landscape of cold chain management, sustainability and global collaboration.
 
The session began with a comprehensive introduction of NAB-CCM by Avinash Verma and Sarvesh Chaubey, who outlined the organization’s role in establishing accreditation standards, enhancing global credibility and shaping the future of cold chain excellence. They emphasized NAB-CCM’s strategic focus on collaboration and future-ready frameworks to build a more resilient and efficient global cold chain ecosystem.
 
The first keynote session, led by Rahul Pandey, addressed “ESG and Sustainability in Cold Chain Management”, underscoring the critical need to embed environmental, social and governance principles into operational and policy frameworks. His insights highlighted the industry’s shifting priorities toward greener, more responsible practices.
 
This was followed by a presentation by Prof. (Dr.) Ahmed Adedeji, who shared the vision for the NAB-CCM–FIRAT Africa collaboration through the theme “Driving a Transcontinental Cold Chain Ecosystem for a Resilient Future (2025–2030).” Dr. Adedeji emphasized the importance of South-South cooperation, shared standards and infrastructure development in creating a unified cold chain platform across continents.
 
The event concluded with an engaging panel discussion titled “Tariffs vs. Temperature: Economic Policies Challenging the Cold Chain Industry,” moderated by Ravi Kumar, managing director, Envirotainer–India. Esteemed panelists included Rituparna Chaturvedi, country manager, Cryopdp, Anand Prasad, assistant vice president (AVP), JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals and Dr. Bharti Patil, API Regulatory Expert, Zentiva Pvt. Ltd.
 
The panel highlighted the complex interplay between economic regulations and cold chain efficiency, advocating for harmonized policies to ensure global supply chain resilience. The webinar reaffirmed NAB-CCM’s commitment to innovation, global partnerships and sustainable cold chain excellence.
