The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP) in Coimbatore has launched a project, ‘Prachin Vriksha Ayurveda Chikitsa’, to rejuvenate trees using time-tested ayurvedic treatments. The project was unveiled on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 74th birthday in Goa. At Raj Bhavan in Goa the tree-treatment project was launched by the Governor. PS Sreedharna Pillai. The project’s holistic approach, combining traditional ayurvedic treatments with modern conservation techniques, represents a paradigm shift in environmental conservation. If successful, this model could be replicated across India and beyond, potentially revolutionizing global reforestation and conservation efforts, said a source from the AVP. The sources further said the 'Prachin Vriksha Ayurvedic Chikitsa' project is a natural extension of AVP's long-standing philosophy of giving back to nature, ensuring that the source of so many healing remedies is itself preserved and revitalized. With over 120 years of ayurvedic heritage, AVP continues to push the boundaries of what holistic health means, not only for individuals but for the planet itself. The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy has a long history of 120 years of achievements in ayurvedic healthcare. According to sources, AVP has established itself as a pioneering force in harmonizing ancient ayurvedic traditions with modern medical practices. Through educational initiatives like ‘Aranyakam’, AVP provides Ayurveda students with the opportunity to reconnect with nature, cultivating an understanding of biodiversity, traditional wisdom and environmental balance. By actively promoting education that emphasizes our intrinsic connection to the natural world, AVP is laying the foundation for future ayurvedic practitioners to integrate ecological consciousness into their practice, they said.
