 Dr A P Vaitheeswaran, 56, managing director of Aeon Formulations Pvt Ltd in Chennai, who suffered a heart attack this morning, died at Vijaya Hospital at Vadapalani in Chennai at 11am.
According to Dr V Ariharan, his son and director of Aeon Formulations, Dr Vaitheeswaran had undergone a bypass surgery two weeks ago, but was recovering well. The body will be taken to his native place at Namakkal tomorrow for cremation and other ceremonies.
The manufacturing facility of Aeon Formulations is located in Pondicherry, but the administrative office is working at Ramapuram in Chennai. Vaitheeswaran was an active member of the Pondicherry Drug Manufacturers Association. He was also associated with the IDMA branch in Tamil Nadu.
The president of Pondicherry DMA, P Ramesh Kumar, Pharmexcil chairman and CMD of Fourrts Lab in Chennai, SVV Veeramani, TN IDMA chairman, J Jayaseelan, secretary T Satheesh and MD of MMC Pharma, M Rajaratinam expressed their deep condolences and grief on the passing away of Dr Vaitheeswaran.
Dr Vaitheeswaran was a close friend and well-wisher of Pharmabiz.
