iPC Health, part of the Bengaluru-based Impelsys, an online content and learning solutions provider, has introduced a free COVID-19 resource centre. It offers online courses, shares blogs, videos and additional links from the WHO and CDC (Centre for Disease Control & Prevention) which are a quick reference source for the healthcare staff that can be accessed on cell phone, laptop or tablets.
The company is also hosting an hour-long webinar on ‘COVID-19 Pandemic Preparedness in terms of Infection Prevention & Control Protocols’. It will be held on May 8, 2020 between 1 pm and 2 pm. Dr. Savitha Nagraj, HOD & Professor, Department of Microbiology, St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru will speak on how hospitals could be better prepared along with their teams to handle the pandemic.
Owing to the huge response to its COVID-19 programme with over 5,000 participants taking the course, iPC Health updated the contents of the learning programme to make it relevant to the current COVID-19 scenario. It has provided insights about the myths, pregnancy care and management of dialysis patients tested positive for coronavirus.
“As healthcare professionals continue to battle this worldwide crisis, we remain committed to helping them in all possible ways. Our recently introduced free online COVID-19 course has been a huge success and with the recent updates on the challenges to treat the infected patients, medical professionals will have a better understanding on how to cope with the risks,” said Sameer Shariff, founder and CEO, Impelsys.
“The online course comes at no cost to the user. It is specifically intended to keep healthcare professionals with adequate knowledge about the response action plan, infection prevention guidelines, and to also be able to track the spread of the virus,” he added.
