The Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (CIPI) has unanimously elected Jatish Sheth as its president for the 2026–2028 tenure. He previously served as the Secretary of the Confederation.
He also holds the position of President of the Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (KDPMA) and is the director Srushti Pharmaceuticals reflecting his significant leadership role in India's pharmaceutical sector.
CIPI, which is an association of pharmaceutical associations, is well recognized by the central and State Governments for protecting industry interests and is invited for related meetings and consultations.
The pharmaceutical industry is governed and regulated by Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Group of Ministers and the office of DCGI. CIPI continues to play an important role in representing the interests of small and medium-scale pharmaceutical units before these authorities. As the apex body representing Indian pharma manufacturers, with special focus on small and medium-scale units, CIPI works towards protecting, promoting and strengthening the SSI and MSME pharmaceutical sector. The office bearers of CIPI for FY 2026-28 are R C Juneja, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Mankind Pharma, is the chief patron. BR Sikri, ABS Mercantiles and former president, FOPE (Federation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs) is the patron. RK Jain as chairman, L Ramanathan as General Secretary, Vinod Kalani as Co-Chairman, Harish K. Jain, president, FOPE and director Embiotic Labs as co-chairman and Jagdish Chand Bansal treasurer.
