The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) announced that Jashubhai Hirabhai Chaudhari, its member from Gujarat State Pharmacy Council, has been appointed as the vice president of the PCI. He was unanimously elected to the post in a meeting of the Central Council held on May 31 and June 1, 2025 in Maharashtra. He is succeeding the position from Prof. Dr Pramod Yeole, vice chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Maharashtra. Announcing the election of Chaudhari to the position, the PCI informed the stakeholders that all communications requiring the personal attention of the vice-president of the Council may be sent to him in his correspondence details shared by the Council. Chaudhari, hailing from Mehsana district of Gujarat, completed B.Pharm and MBA. He has been with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council for almost six years, and has served as the registrar of the State Council. He is currently a member of the State Council as PCI nominee.
