FFC to organise conference on 'functional foods for chronic diseases' on September 22 & 23 at Harvard Medical School, Boston

The Functional Food Center (FFC) is all set to present 22nd International Conference of FFC, entitled 'Functional Foods for Chronic Diseases'. The conference will be held on September 22 and 23, 2017 in the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. The conference is organized by FFC and Nutrition/Metabolism Laboratory at Department of Surgery, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

This event will be focused on the topics such as Functional foods and chronic diseases; Functional food status; Regulation and statistical analysis; Functional foods and neurological diseases; Functional foods and cardiovascular diseases; Bioactive food compounds; Sources and potential health benefits; Functional foods with bioactive compounds; Prevention and management of non-communicable diseases; and there will be special sessions on Microbiome: Health and Cancer; Dietary exosomes and their cargos; Engineering bioaccessibility and bioavailability of bioactive compounds; and Current research and development of new functional food products.

Conference programme on September 22, 2017 is at 8:15 - 8:45 registrations. At 8:45 - 8:55 welcome and opening remarks by Jin-Rong (Joseph) Zhou, Co-chairman, Associate Professor of Surgery, Director of Nutrition/Metabolism Laboratory at Department of Surgery, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. There will four sessions on September 22 by various experts. On September 23 there will also be four sessions on various topics by experts. At the end of conference there will be awards and certificates function.

The dietary composition of food intake is greatly influencing health of human being and incidence of diseases.In last two decades life style of the people is much more modified in terms of food habits,for improving work standard people are time savy in metro politans to adopt continental,chienese and chunk foods which results in high calorie in take which is resulting in high prevalance of non communicable and chronic diseases and lincidence of tumors.

This 22nd conference entitled on functionoal food and chronic diseases will be a ideal platform to have open forum on various aspects of functionoal food which greatly influence the incidence of diseases.
