In a significant recognition on a global scale, India's leading digital healthcare platform, 1mg was selected along with 16 companies from across the world as a part of Unreasonable Goals Program, targeted at helping solve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

The UN has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the planet - which 193 countries have signed on to. For each goal, one company has been selected from around the world and 1mg has been handpicked as the model that could impact healthcare in a meaningful way (Goal #3: Health & Well Being for All). The program is run by the Unreasonable Group in partnership with the State department and other global agencies.

In acknowledgment of the critical part business visionaries play in tending to worldwide difficulties and meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), The US Department of State joined forces with Unreasonable Group to dispatch Unreasonable Goals. The program is designed to identify and support high growth ventures that have the potential to scale rapidly and use market forces to bring meaningful positive change across the 17 SDGs. Following a concentrated half year process, sixteen organizations were chosen for this program. Many of the entrepreneurs behind these endeavors originate from outside of the United States counting Prashant Tandon, who established 1mg an organization exceptionally suited to address Goal #3 of the SDGs which is to better the healthcare ecosystem.

1mg aspires to make health care work for patients and restore faith in the institution of medicine, which is rapidly losing consumer trust due to opacity and misaligned interests. The company leverages technology to make healthcare transparent, understandable, accessible & affordable for patients.

Speaking of his experience, Prashant Tandon, CEO & co-founder 1mg said "It is a privilege that 1mg received this recognition as a model that could have a significant impact on making healthcare work for patients across the world. We operate with a simple philosophy: the consumer deserves to understand and participate in decisions regarding their well being. The consumer is losing confidence in the system, driven by the opacity and misaligned interests across the board. 1mg is committed to making healthcare work for the patients."

With over 22M monthly visits, 1mg is India's leading digital health platform. The company provides India's largest repository of information on medicine and their price comparison and also operates the largest E-pharmacy, E-diagnostics and E-consultations network in the country. The company is led by a well-qualified management team with expertise in healthcare, technology, data analytics, and operations and is backed by Sequoia, HBM, Maverick, Omidyar Network etc. The company has raised ~$36M to date and is scaling up its service rapidly across the country.
