Clove Dental set to invest $25-30 million to touch 600-clinic target as part of its expansion strategy

Clove Dental, a dental chain promoted by Global Dental Services, is on a major expansion drive and is set to invest $25-30 million to touch 600-clinic target. The company recently increased its footprint in Bengaluru at HSR Layout, Koramangala, Banashankari & AECS. This takes the total number of clinics in the city to nine.

The 600 clinics will be launched over next 4-5 years nationally, and to this end the company plans to add 10-12 clinics every month for the next few years.

The six-year-old dental network, and a member of the Royal Society of Medicine, UK has 160+ clinics across 11 states. For the subsequent phase, Clove has set an ambitious target to launch 200 clinics in the next 2 years in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Clove has been playing a seminal role, in organizing and standardizing dental care in India. It plans to build community awareness programs to improve oral hygiene and preventive diseases linked to poor oral health like diabetes, heart ailments, pre-term birth etc.

According to Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Vimal Arora, Chief Clinical Officer, Clove Dental, “we have been working towards redefining the oral care market in India by introducing customers to technologically enabled painless dentistry. Our clinics across India offer restorative treatments like fillings and root canal to oral and maxillofacial surgery to cosmetic treatments at an affordable price”.

According to Ken Research, the India dental care services market will register double digit growth rate and will reach over Rs. 14,700 crore by FY’2020 due to growth in the number of dental chains which would expand the share of organized dental clinics in the country.
